Current Opportunities 

Executive Director

         Position begins July 1, 2018 (year round)

The Executive Director must possess strong commitment to furthering the school’s mission and is responsible for overall management of school operations including finance and budget, personnel and faculty, enrollment, safety and licensing compliance, physical plant maintenance, marketing, and development.

Qualified candidates should understand the principles of Montessori education and have a deep love for and appreciation of children and families. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, diplomacy, and the ability to balance multiple demands and set priorities. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Substitute Teachers

CHMS is seeking substitute teachers for all programs (toddler, primary, and elementary). Ideal substitute candidates will possess a B.A. in education or a related field and will have prior teaching experience with children ages 18 months to 10 years old. Prior Montessori experience is not required but is preferred.

Substitutes will require an understanding of young children and be responsible for establishing a positive, encouraging, appropriate relationship with students. They will work with other teachers and staff as a contributing team member to present a cooperative and positive work environment and are expected to follow best Montessori practices while working collaboratively in a professional Montessori community. Your warmth, calmness, and professionalism in your daily interactions with children and their families are essential aspects of your abilities.
