Substitute Teachers

CHMS is seeking substitute teachers for all programs (toddler, primary, and elementary). Ideal substitute candidates will possess a B.A. in education or a related field and will have prior teaching experience with children ages 18 months to 10 years old. Prior Montessori experience is not required but is preferred. Substitutes will require an understanding of young children and be responsible for establishing a positive, encouraging, appropriate relationship with students. They will work with other teachers and staff as a contributing team member to present a cooperative and positive work environment and are expected to follow best Montessori practices while working collaboratively in a professional Montessori community. Lead Summer Camp Counselor

Seeking Seasonal Lead Camp Counselor at Children’s House Montessori School at Oakland Park in Rockport, Maine for our preschool and lower elementary groups. This position begins June 17 and runs through August 16, 2024. The successful candidate will join a team-oriented Montessori camp community that serves approximately 60 children - ages 18 months to 10 years old - in a nature-based, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Ideal candidates will possess a B.A. in education or a related field and will have prior teaching experience.
