Lead Lower Elementary Teacher & Nature-based Specialist
CHMS is seeking a Lead Lower Elementary Teacher and Nature-based Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position begins August 17th and includes two weeks of set-up and pre-service training. The successful candidate will join a team-oriented Montessori school community that includes two toddler classrooms, two primary classrooms, and one lower elementary classroom. Children’s House serves 75-100 students in a holistic, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment, in school year and summer programs. Pay is commensurate with experience and the school’s pay scale. Assistant Toddler Teacher

Substitute Teachers
CHMS is seeking Substitute Teachers for all programs (toddler, primary, and elementary). Ideal candidates possess a B.A. in education or a related field and have prior teaching experience with children ages 18 months to 10 years old. Prior Montessori experience is not required but is preferred. Substitutes require an understanding of young children and will be responsible for establishing a positive, encouraging, appropriate relationship with students. They will work with other teachers and staff as a contributing team member to present a cooperative and positive work environment and are expected to follow best practices while working collaboratively in a professional Montessori community. Warmth, calmness, and professionalism in daily interactions is essential. The position is on-call for daily coverage and with advance notice for short-term substitute opportunities.
