Substitute Teachers

CHMS is seeking Substitute Teachers for all programs (toddler, primary, and elementary). Ideal candidates possess a B.A. in education or a related field and have prior teaching experience with children ages 18 months to 10 years old. Prior Montessori experience is not required but is preferred. Substitutes require an understanding of young children and will be responsible for establishing a positive, encouraging, appropriate relationship with students. They will work with other teachers and staff as a contributing team member to present a cooperative and positive work environment and are expected to follow best practices while working collaboratively in a professional Montessori community. Warmth, calmness, and professionalism in daily interactions is essential.

The position is on-call for daily coverage and with advance notice for short-term substitute opportunities. The pay is $20/hour. Please submit a cover letter, resume and three references to director@camdenmontessori.org.
